Holly Hagg: community farm and alpaca trekking in Sheffield

Junior volunteers

We do not recommend our volunteering sessions for children under the age of 14. If you are an adult volunteer who wishes to bring your child (age 10+) with you we can make some exceptions. Please get in touch to find out more. All children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If you are attending on your own and are under 18 or on a placement you will need to complete the information and consent form below. Please send the completed form to info@hollyhagg.org.uk before you start, or bring a copy along to your first session.

We have several roles suited to junior volunteers:

Weekly drop-in sessions

Our weekly drop-in sessions on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons are suitable for children aged about 14 and above. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Find out more about our drop-in sessions…

Work experience and DoE

We regularly take on young people participating in Duke of Edinburgh, attending college courses on animal care or agriculture as well as those looking for work experience or wanting to increase their skills and independence. Find out more about placements…

Assistant trek guide

Being a trek guide requires more commitment and responsibility than our other roles but junior trek guides receive plenty of training and work as assistant guides alongside our experienced senior trek guides. Unfortunately we only have a very limited number of places for junior trek guides. Find out more about trek guides…

If you are interested

Please read the information about our volunteering opportunites before sending an email to info@hollyhagg.org.uk to let us know a bit about you, what roles you are interested in, when you can start.
