absolutely loved our alpaca trek with Theo the alpaca and El Jefe the most handsome Llama. The trek was beautiful and... the staff were so helpful and even showed us the pigs when I mentioned how much I love pigs. The animals are so sweet and so well cared for and clearly loved by the volunteers who know all their little personalities. I would highly recommend this and it's so much better that it's helping fund the farm too.read more

Fantastic day out. Trekked with alpacas on a long walk through the woods and fed them. They are really friendly... alpacas. Staff are brilliant as well. Would highly recommend them to all, even kids. 🦙 thank you.read more

We had a great time at Holly Hagg today. The farm was very well maintained. All the animals were well trained and... clearly loved by the people there. The owner and volunteers were lovely and did a great job to facilitate the trek. We had Santiago as our companion and he was the cutest alpaca ever. Will definitely come back again ♡read more

We had a great time on our alpaca walk on Saturday! The volunteers are really knowledgeable and take really good care... of all the animals. I like that we got to choose which alpaca we walked (we chose Thomas) It was a really nice and scenic walk (definitely recommend supportive footwear) but it wasn't rushed, and there are breaks during the walk where you feed them and have photos taken. After the walk had finished there was the option to have a guided walk around the farm and to meet the other animals they have there which was really nice. I've already recommended it to a few people already and I would definitely do it again!read more

Brilliant alpaca trekking experience. The alpaca are all so loveable and well cared for by the volunteers, very... informative guides and my 7 year old loved being able to guide his alpaca Gordon and feed him, lovely interactive activity in a lovely setting. Went to this little gem for a little outing for our 6 year anniversary and I couldn’t recommend it more! it was... amazing, non profitable organisation run by volunteers, very nice to learn about the spot and how it became what it is today, we had Forrest he was very calm and gentle and great to handle, although all the alpacas were well behaved and very cute. we had a great time and will definitely be back! Hopefully this place stays open and continues to do what it does! thank you for the memoriesread more

I came across Holly hagg and their alpaca trekking on Facebook, it was something I'd never seen before and decided it... would be something completely different to do. well it really didn't disappoint, we had a fantastic time. the staff were lovely, very friendly, helpful and informative. our alpaca Thomas was so lovely and sweet and for most of the trekk he was a good boy! my daughter got to feed, walk and stroke Thomas. it was such a unique experience and we loved it!!!read more

We had a wonderful day walking Teddy - he is an absolute star! The volunteers are wonderful are very knowledgeable.... They clearly think the world of the alpacas (and llama!) and we’re able to tell us so much about them and their unique personalities. I was surprised for my birthday with Alpaca trekking at Holly Hagg..
It was an amazing experience and absolutely... loved it.
The volunteers were just so wonderful, knowledgeable and clearly loved the Alpacas and Llama.
The trek was so beautiful through the gorgeous woodland and surrounding area.

Had a brilliant time today me and my daughter walked the Alpacas it was a birthday present for my daughter 2 years ago... but due to covid we finally got to do it. We did a trek and walked Jefe the lama. The guides and the animals are lovely and the walk and views are beautiful.... Great way to spend our Saturday morning. Also loved the pigs back at the farm – very friendly – and enjoyed having a look around.read more

Had a fabulous time down at Holly Hagg Community Farm this afternoon. Wonderful to get up close to the beautiful... Alpaca’s and feed them, Sanday and Teddy especially delightful. Wonderful knowledgable volunteers. We ventured round to the other animal, piglets, hens, chickens and rabbits.and there they had a Fleece Fest with the actual Alpaca yarn from Teddy and the other Alpacas, of course I bought some wonderful lady spinning the Alpaca yarn, and very helpful volunteers in there. There was food and drinks to be had too. All in all a fabulous few hours out. Thank you 🧶🧶read more

Would highly recommend, we had a great time. The trek leaders were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the alpacas.... Our walk lasted over an hr, it is rocky and steep in areas but plenty of chances for a little rest and to feed the Alpacas. We'll be backread more

The staff are lovely and the alpacas are very well looked after. The walk is over quite rocky and hilly paths in... places, so wear your walking shoes! I felt very chilled out after spending time with these lovely animals. Would recommend for anyone who wants a walk with a difference.read more

Santiago, who is known for his cheeky antics, was my friendly alpaca companion for today's walk. The Alpaca Trek, lead... by enthusiastic, entertaining and down-to-earth members of the Holly Hagg Community Farm, has been one of my favourite and unique experiences this year. It was a lovely route and I enjoyed having Santiago's company, despite him walking me round in circles when I got his food out and when he wanted to jump in the bushes and eat them at many points throughout the walk. These antics made the walk interesting and gave us something laugh about. It may have been the first time he had seen sheep too, which was adorable! Santiago allowed me to stroke his back, neck and head - he was so soft and cuddly!
The volunteers leading the trek were also very conscientious of social distancing guidelines and they followed those 'extra measures' to make sure everything was safe and healthy. I felt very comfortable with the set up and would definitely go again soon!read more
